Article I
Fees.
Section 1. Institutional membership shall be confirmed by appropriate application to the Treasurer.
Section 2. An individual conference registration fee shall be assessed by the Executive Committee.
Article II
Committees.
Section 1. Executive Committee. The Executive Committee shall be composed of the President, President-Elect, Recorder, Treasurer, Immediate Past President, and Standing Committee Chairpersons of the organization. The President shall be Chairperson. The Executive Committee shall have those duties specifically assigned in the constitution and bylaws and others assigned by the President.
Section 2. Standing Committees. Unless otherwise specified, the members of standing committees shall serve for a period of one year. Committee Chairpersons shall be appointed by the incoming President at the annual conference. Committee assignments shall be made by the President within 30 days after the annual meeting. Committee members may be reappointed.
The seven standing committees shall be:
(1) Nominations,
(2) Research,
(3) Equal Opportunity Compliance,
(4) Legislative and Professional Liaison,
(5) Resolutions,
(6) Memberships, and
(7) Historian.
Section 3. Other Committees. The President shall have the authority to establish such ad hoc committees as deemed necessary.

Amendments.
These bylaws may be amended at any annual conference by a two-thirds majority of the legal votes cast by the institutional members present and voting, provided that notice of the proposed amendment has been sent to the institutional members at least thirty days in advance of the conference at which such amendment is to be acted upon. An amendment not thus proposed and published in advance may be adopted by a four-fifths majority of the legal votes cast by the institutional members present and voting.
